PiKE is a Cincinnati based band that has been pushing their punk-influenced brand of alt rock since 2005. People have commented that they sound like the Pixies at times, a heavier version of the B-52's, and Sleater-Kinney. Within their music, you can hear the influences of Sonic Youth, Primus, and the Reverend Horton Heat. Photos by: David Stephen Photography 
RecordingPike is recording their first full length album with Matt Hueneman at Sound Images in downtown Cincinnati. Matt finished a couple demo songs for us, and we wanted to put them on our website. So, there are three songs streaming at the bottom of this site (Bye Away, Hush, and Whoop). When will the album be finished? We don't know for sure but we really want to get it out by 2011. So, more details to come. |
